DOD Skillbridge

Program for transitioning soldiers to get skills training in the last few months of their active duty time. Also known as the career skills program (CSP).

Verification of Military Experience and Training (VMET)

Document that can help prepare resumes and job applications.

Employment Readiness Program (ERP)

ACS program that can help transitioning soldiers, spouses, retirees, etc. find employment as well as counsel and help with resumes among other services.

USO Pathfinder Program

Available to transitioning soldiers as well as spouses and can assist in transitioning as well as job hunting.

Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD)

Soldiers who plan to file a disability claim through the VA can do so while still on active duty if they know their separation date and it is 180-90 days prior to it.

Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E)

Veterans who are 10% or more service-related disabled and already out or a 20% pre discharge disability rating may be eligible to apply for this program which helps with job training, employment, and education.

If you’re a service member or Veteran and have a disability that was caused—or made worse—by your active-duty service and that limits your ability to work or prevents you from working, you may be able to get employment support or services to help you live as independently as possible.
